Vice President
Bill Lewis is vice president in the business development group
of Hunt Oil Company, which seeks to match new technologies with the
appropriate resources to create new opportunities for the company.
Previously,
Lewis conducted Hunt
LNG Company's interest in the Yemen LNG Project, with a focus on the
expansion of the upstream facilities. He also has oversight
responsibility for Hunt Oil Company’s operations in Yemen.
Joining Hunt in 1979, he has served in numerous positions, including
vice president LNG, vice president and general manager of Hunt Oil Company of Canada, Inc.,
senior vice president of Yemen operations, vice president and general
manager of Yemen Hunt Oil Company, manager of exploration and production
and manager of reservoir engineering in Yemen. He was previously
responsible for operating several of Hunt’s U.S. production districts
and had served in various engineering positions in the company. In
addition, he co-directed the company’s business process review and the
implementation of a new E&P information
management system.
He began his career with Phillips Petroleum Company, where he held
several engineering positions.
Lewis earned a bachelor’s in petroleum engineering from Louisiana Tech
University, where he was a member of Pi Epsilon Tau, the Petroleum
Engineering Honor Society. He was a founder of the Yemen chapter of the
Society of Petroleum Engineering, where he served as program chair and
later as section chair.
